The mission statement of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been updated to better reflect the idea of rock music.
At a press conference on January 30, the Rock Hall's president and CEO Greg Harris announced this modification.
Indicating that future qualifying standards for induction and overall representation at the Cleveland museum will not be determined by the heyday of classic rock.
The revised mission statement states, "Rock and roll is a spirit that is inclusive and ever-changing, born from the collision of rhythm and blues, country, and gospel."
