Jackson gets given the franchise tag by the Ravens.

-Lamar Jackson, a quarterback, has been assigned the franchise tag

The pay for the non-exclusive tag is $32.4 million in 2023, which is nearly $13 million less than what the exclusive tag would have cost.

Jackson can evaluate his worth on the open market starting on March 13. Starting on March 15, he can concur to a deal with another squad.

Jackson would sign the tag and stay with the Ravens for another season if he is unable to reach a deal with another team.

Jackson's possible trade is the alternative scenario. The Ravens might match another team's offer

The Ravens are hoping that Jackson will stay in Baltimore even though he will be free to shop around.
