Before the documentary The Price of Glee, Naya Rivera's cause of death is investigated

The highly anticipated docuseries The Price of Glee from ID will include a segment about Naya Rivera, a Fox Glee actor who unintentionally drowned in a lake in California.

Three actors – Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Rivera – who played Santana Lopez in the popular musical series will be examined in ID's three-part series about their deaths.

Famous Glee actress and divorced mother-of-one Naya Rivera, 33, leased a pontoon boat on Lake Piru in July 2020 for a day trip with her 4-year-old son Josey.

The actress was also "considered a good swimmer," the postmortem report stated. Drowning was found to be Naya Rivera's main cause of death.

When the boat didn't get back at the launch pier within the allotted three hours, lake staff saw that Josey was sleeping by herself inside the boat.

Within months, Rivera's ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, the boy's guardian and father, filed a wrongful death case against Ventura County on behalf of her estate
